Calicivirus
Calicivirus is a disease that’s made to kill wild rabbits because of land loss from them digging up farmers crops and land.Calicivirus was let out in the 1997 in late August It was confirmed that RHDV (Rabbit Hemorrhagic disease Virus) had been deliberately and illegally introduced to the Cromwell area of the South Island.
How i first found out about this disease was when my Father told me about it.I thought that-that was horrible.He also told me that it also spreads through domestic rabbits too.My first experience with it was about 5 months into 2016 it was very tragic.
Symptoms of virus:
(1)Not eating/drinking
(2)Slugishness
(3)Eyes Popping out
(4)And in about an hour later they have 2-5 seizures witch in the last one leads to death.
The sadder thing is that i fear there is a new Calicivirus that has just been let out on purpose
To stop wild rabbits.
One day rabbits will be endanger towards this horrible virus.
Imagine this rabbit could have died because of this calicivirus wouldn't that be sad.
Rabbits are suffering I hope that i can raise awareness of this virus.
